This year's recipient is Dhara Pathak who provided the letter below to the firm:
Dear Mr. Bogoroch,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Dhara Pathak, and I am this year’s recipient of the Bogoroch and Associates Entrance Award in the amount of $16,666 at Osgoode Hall Law School. I wanted to reach out and extend my sincere gratitude to you and your firm for your gracious scholarship. Attending law school has been a dream of mine since secondary school, and I am grateful for the support I have received from your firm in bringing this long-standing goal to fruition.
I recently graduated from the University of Waterloo this past April where I majored in Legal Studies and Business. I endeavour to pursue a career in law upon obtaining an exceptional law school education, coupled with meaningful work and volunteer experiences within the legal field. I have also been involved as an executive member at Undergraduate Mock Trials Canada (UGMT) for the last 5 years. During my time with the organization, I have strived to foster access to practical and hands-on legal education for undergraduate students. In addition to my academic aspirations, I enjoy hiking, water sports, and volunteering at my local animal shelter!
As an immigrant from both India and Kenya, I wanted to recognize and thank your firm for promoting access, diversity, and excellence in legal education. As I pursue my career in law, I will be sure to keep the values of this award at the forefront of my professional endeavours by engaging in both pro bono work and charitable contributions in the future.
I would relish the opportunity to stay in touch with you as I begin my studies this fall. Thank you very much once again - I greatly appreciate your generous donation towards my educational pursuits.
Sincerely,
Dhara Pathak
We extend our congratulations to Ms Pathak and wish her a successful year at Osgoode Hall Law School.
